Bahar Bazmi named WVU Health System chief revenue cycle officer
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Bahar Bazmi will become chief revenue cycle officer for the WVU Health System effective April 27.
Bazmi brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across healthcare technology, finance, and revenue cycle operations. She comes to WVU Medicine from Hearing Life, a national hearing care company, where she served as vice president of revenue cycle management for more than five years.
“Bahar has a proven track record of leading high impact, cross functional initiatives across patient access, coding, billing, and collections, while leveraging technology and analytics to drive performance, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall patient financial experience,” Nick Barcellona, chief financial officer for the WVU Health System, said.
In her new role, Bazmi will provide strategic oversight of the Health System’s revenue cycle operations, helping to strengthen collaboration across hospital and System teams, elevate performance, and continue building a unified approach to revenue cycle.
“My goal is to be a collaborative and people-focused leader who is passionate about bringing teams together, strengthening partnerships across the System, and developing talent,” Bazmi said. “I strive to lead meaningful, transformational change and create alignment across teams to move work forward in a thoughtful and sustainable way.”
